Following is a proposal of sorts…
A colour wheel is an abstract illustrative organisation of colour hues around a circle. Most colour wheels are based on three primary colours, three secondary colours, and the six intermediates formed by mixing a primary with a secondary, known as tertiary colours, for a total of 12 main divisions; some add more intermediates, for 24 named colours.
I propose that this colour wheel, with its 12 divisions, is a perfect fit to be displayed on the face of the classic Swatch.
