While I attended the Royal College of Art, the chain store Marks & Spencer invited students to propose ideas for products. I suggested a set of Utilitarian Greeting Cards that rely on the sender to appropriate them for the recipient. Marks & Spencer hated the cards, but I loved them and printed five hundred of each design, in the hope of selling the cards to earn some pocket money.
