Daimler Chrysler Symbol
In 1998 Chrysler merged with Daimler-Benz.
In order to reflect this meeting of two stalwart brands, Daimler Chrysler required a symbol in edition to the formal logotype.
The solution combined both initials to create a ‘twenty-seventh letter’ to serve as the brand’s symbol.
Both letters are simply and seamlessly arranged together to create a sense of unity.
Not only does it work as a logo and unique letterform, it invokes a clean, mathematical simplicity.
It’s as simple as 1 + 1 = 2.
It also acts as a superscript (trademark) linking DaimlerChrysler brands together.
