SCP Residency Spectral Chromo Prismatic Rolling Pin Paintings
A2 works on both wooden panels and paper created during residence at SCP for London Design Festival. Empty aluminium paint tubes where filled with combinations of different colours exploring the nuance and complexity of colour. The paint was applied to a wooden canvas and a rolling pin was used to push the paint across its surface. This action created flat shapes, whose colour spectrum was unknown. This process of applying colour and rolling it into form was repeated multiple times until a composition of suspended forms overlapped and congealed within the meniscus of the surface that suspended them. The project was kindly supported by Winsor & Newton.
