Tip of the Iceberg

A proposal (sketch) presented to the BBC Director General, in response to the BBC’s desire to move away from a ‘flat two dimensional logo of the past’ into a ‘three dimensional multi platform logo for the future’.

The proposal takes the existing BBC logo, combines the three elements to imply a cube, opening up a three dimensional space.

An audio mnemonic of the musical notes; B, B and C, generates a perfect translation of the British Broadcast Corporation acronym into sound. Ultimately the three notes would be played by all the musicians simultaneously from the British Philharmonic Orchestra.
